What are the differences between task and issue

Some project management tools consider a bug (issue) of a project also be a task as well. We separate project issue and task in different terms per our project management experience:

  • Project manager manages issues, tasks in various workflows
  • Issue may be considered as a task or not depends on the team’s agreement
  • Depends on project types then members can favor on bug management than tasks or vice versa

In MyCollab, if you consider an issue as a task to be resolved, you can completely ignore issue section. The issue section may play the critical role of the maintenance project or a customer support system. We leave the decision to you to tailor MyCollab per your needs.
